Two Regions, Two Very Different Adventures

Parker Creek Bend Cabins operates in two distinct corners of Arkansas. Our Murfreesboro cabins in the southwest put you minutes from Crater of Diamonds State Park and Lake Greeson. Our Marshall cabin in the north-central Ozarks sits within easy reach of the Buffalo National River and miles of mountain trails.

Buffalo National River (Marshall Area)

America's first National River runs 135 miles through the Ozarks. From The Windstorm, popular put-in points like Tyler Bend are roughly 25 minutes away. Canoe and kayak outfitters operate from spring through early fall. Expect towering limestone bluffs, gravel-bar beaches, and water that ranges from glassy pools to Class I–II rapids depending on season.

Crater of Diamonds State Park (Murfreesboro Area)

The only public diamond mine in the world where you keep what you find. A short drive from The Codex and The Americana, Crater of Diamonds offers a 37-acre plowed field where visitors have unearthed more than 35,000 diamonds since 1972. The park also has a water park, walking trails, and an interpretive center.

Lake Greeson

A 7,000-acre Army Corps lake known for largemouth bass, crappie, and clear water for swimming and paddling. Multiple boat ramps and day-use areas, including Daisy State Park on the southern shore.

Hiking the Ozarks

The Buffalo River Trail and Ozark Highlands Trail offer everything from short waterfall walks to multi-day backpacking. Lost Valley near Ponca is a family-friendly favorite with a walk-in cave and natural bridge. Whitaker Point (Hawksbill Crag) is one of the most photographed spots in Arkansas.

Small-Town Dining and Local Stops

Both regions reward visitors who slow down. Marshall has a courthouse square with local diners and a soda fountain. Murfreesboro and nearby Daisy offer family-run BBQ joints, catfish houses, and the kind of café that knows your order by the second visit.
