The Perfect Escape!
Located at 89 Parker Creek Rd in Murfreesboro Arkansas.
This rustic cabin sleeps up to six people, making it the perfect spot for families and groups of friends looking for an outdoor adventure.
It’s also pet friendly, so your furry companions can join in on the fun!
Living Spaces
The open-plan cabin was a labor of love for the Army veteran owner, and there are plenty of personal touches throughout. The cabin is dedicated to our servicemembers and is thoughtfully finished with an attractively patriotic theme.
The 43” Ultra-high definition TV is internet-enabled so you can connect to your favorite streaming services. A Jensen multi-media center plays DVDs, CDs, and MP3s, and music can also be played via Bluetooth or connected with a jack.
Fiber optic WiFi with synchronous upload and download speeds of 100 Mbps means that the multitaskers in your group can stream shows or sports games while simultaneously scrolling social media and even getting some work done.
For a more low-tech approach to your woodland adventure, there are also plenty of board games in the cabin to keep you entertained if the weather isn’t great.
Kitchen & Dining
At Americana Cabin you’ll find a kitchenette with all the basics you’ll need for snacks and refreshments. Load up the mini refrigerator with cold drinks, and make use of the microwave to prepare popcorn and other light bites. A very convenient countertop ice maker is available to provide ice instead of buying bagged ice.
If you need a cup of Joe to get going in the morning don’t worry, there’s a coffee maker, too. There’s no stove, but the outdoor grill has you covered for heartier meals during your stay.
Bedrooms & Baths
This open-plan studio-style cabin has two sleeping nooks that offer guests a good amount of privacy. One holds a comfy queen-size bed and the other has built-in bunk beds. There’s also a second queen-size bed hidden in the sofa which means you can invite two more guests along on your woodland adventure.
The modern bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower, toilet, and a vanity with a mirror. Dual windows bathe the space in light, and since the cabin isn’t overlooked, you can enjoy views of the surrounding nature… while nature calls.
Outdoor Amenities
Americana Cabin has raised, covered wooden decks on the front and side of the property, giving you plenty of space to hang out with your group or catch a moment alone to enjoy the fresh woodland air.
BBQ lovers will relish the chance to show off their skills on the grill, and the picnic bench is where you’ll enjoy chowing down on your efforts. Once night falls, the fire pit is the best spot to gather for conversation, laughter, and maybe a spooky ghost story or two!

Directions to the Cabin at 89 Parker Creek Rd, from Murfreesboro town square
*** Note: Guests have said that GPS has led them down gravel roads to get to the cabin when paved roads are available.
The distance from the town square to the cabin is 9.7 miles.
1. From the Murfreesboro town square go north on N Washington Ave and drive .5 miles.
2. Turn left onto W 13th St and you will arrive at a 4-way stop in .1 miles.
3. Turn right onto AR-19 (N Maple) and drive 6.2 miles which will bring you to the Lake Greeson Dam on the Little Missouri River.
4. Turn left onto the bridge and turn left again on the other side of the bridge onto Beacon Hill Rd.
5. Drive 2.2 miles to Parker Creek Rd, then turn right and drive .5 miles to the first entrance or another 600 feet to the second entrance. The first entrance is a little steep so the 2nd entrance is recommended. The 2nd entrance is just outside the Army Corps of Engineers Parker Creek Recreation Area. If you cross a cattle guard you have gone slightly past the 2nd entrance. There is a street sign at both entrances with the street name Pebblemist Lane. The first entrance has a utility pole with a street light on the left side. The 2nd entrance also has a garbage bin with the property address prominently displayed on it in blue.
Note: The first cabin you see on the left at the corner of Beacon Hill Rd and Parker Creek Rd is not the destination although its name is similar (Parker Creek Cabin). For reference purposes, the entrance Swaha Marina is on the right about ½ mile from the dam at the Hwy 19 access.
